Also Araxa ,founded on the Antic Xanthos Stream ascended,  is 40 km. away from Fethiye and is really worth visiting .This extraordinary water spring is subjected to mythological stories. Rampart ruins, Turkish baths and aqueduct of Bizantium period are remaining from the city of Ören Village today. Also  Letoon which  was a holy city, dedicated to the Goddess Leto. Located at Kumluova Village and 4 km from Xanthos, it is known that all holy ceremonies were performed here by the priests of the temples of Leto, Artemis and Apollon is also worth visiting .   Visit the beautiful Castle, Fethiye Castle which  is thought that castle ascending at the south of the city belongs to knights of Saint John.
